is one of my clients, Alain, coming back exultant.

So, there I am, at three o'clock, standing in line with other admirers,
both impatient and exited. There I am in front of the author of
"the Big Show".

Mr Clostermann, I'm happy to meet you. I'm Benjamin Freudenthal,
the painter of your "Spit"
- Oh, it's you ! His friendly smile puts me immediately at ease
and I proudly hand him the framed poster n°1. We chat a little
and the great pilot very kindly accepts to inscribe a few words
in my book and a dozen posters that makes the pride of my gratefull
friends.
By the way, he also signs one of my originals : the Tempest JFE,
that adorns the chapter "Flames
in the dusk". This painting was custom-made three years
ago For Jean-Claude Ramos, its happy owner, who agreed to loan it
for this occasion.
Unfortunately, the meeting was dampened by the death of an english
pilot who crashed because of an engine failure in front of 40 000
incredulous people.
This day will remained engraved in my memory. I could I imagine
