The all time most beautifull propliner above San Francisco bay. The colours of the American company, TWA, respond to the vermilion Golden Gate Bridge.

1) "Douglas DC-7 Pan American, Rio de Janeiro"

Si le Constellation était le plus bel avion de ligne des années 50, le Douglas DC-6 était le meilleur. Plus fiable, plus rapide il était ce qu'il se faisait de mieux à l'époque. Son successeur, le DC-7 équipé de moteurs plus puissant vit sa carrière écourtée par l'arrivée des premiers jets. Ici, un DC-7 de la Pan Am arrive à Rio de janeiro en 1960...
The Constellation was a beauty, but the DC-6 washe best. There was no better propliner in those times. It was Faster and more reliable than the "Connie". His successor, the Douglas DC-7 "seven seas" was an extended version of the DC-6 with very powerful turboprop engines. On the painting you watch a DC-7C arriving at Rio de Janeiro.
