The Deutsch Cup was created in 1909. like the Schneider Cup and Thompson Trophy it was a very renowned competition which permited a great development in aviation technology. The Caudron racers with their superb strealined profile could reach outstanding speeds with a relative modest power (330 CV). This painting shows Maurice Arnoux during the 1934Deutsch Cup in his famous Caudron n°13. He flies over a Bugatti pilot who salutes him...
